The brief

Repair project-schedule.json. Use working days from day 0, finish = start + duration, and zero-lag finish-to-start dependencies. Facts: survey 2 days, no predecessor; design 5 after survey; permit 4 after survey; fabricate 4 after design; sitework 3 after permit; integrate 2 after fabricate AND sitework. Options: design-one saves 1 design day for $1,800; design-pair saves 2 design days for $4,000; fabricate-one saves 1 fabrication day for $1,900; fabricate-pair saves 2 fabrication days for $4,500; permit-one saves 1 permit day for $1,000. At most one option per activity; options for different activities may be combined. Meet day 11 within $4,500 acceleration spend. Keep all six activities. These are sponsor constraints, not universal PMI rules. accelerations lists option IDs. schedule rows contain id, start, finish. analysis rows contain id, earliestStart, earliestFinish, latestStart, latestFinish, totalFloat. Calculate the CPM forward/backward pass for effective durations; use earliest network completion as the backward endpoint. totalFloat = latestStart - earliestStart. forecast contains finishDay (latest scheduled finish), accelerationCost (actual selected costs), criticalActivities (all zero-CPM-float IDs). Row order is immaterial. Repair and rerun without Reset; Reset restores the defective starter. Unmodeled resource calendars, uncertain durations and actual site execution are outside this practice boundary.

What the checks verify

Your work is graded on 7 independent properties, not on matching one reference answer.

  • The worksheet has bounded unique activities and valid numeric fields.
  • Scheduled intervals match the immutable effective work durations.
  • Finish-to-start predecessor handoffs are respected.
  • Forward/backward dates and total float are correct for the selected options.
  • Completion, acceleration spend and the critical activity set reconcile.
  • The minimum network and planned finish satisfy the sponsor's deadline.
  • The selected option portfolio stays within the authorized acceleration budget.
