The brief
Edit wireless-site-plan.json. Keep west, core and east radios and assign each of the five cells to one radio; every radio must serve at least one cell. The site-approved 5 GHz primaries are 36, 40, 44, 48, 149, 153, 157 and 161. These radios support 20 or 40 MHz. At 20 MHz only the primary segment is occupied; 40 MHz pairs are 36/40, 44/48, 149/153 and 157/161, with either segment as primary. Other channels and 80 MHz operation are outside this site's approved plan. Each txPowerDbm must be an integer from 10 through 20. For this worksheet, subtract 16 from a radio's power and add that delta to its surveyed downlink and transmitted AP-coupling readings. Client uplinks and received external-neighbor levels do not change with AP transmit power. Each assigned cell needs both downlink and uplink at least -67 dBm. Two managed radios may share any occupied segment only when both directed coupling readings are below -75 dBm after adjustment. A radio may overlap the neighbor's occupied segments only when that neighbor's fixed received level there is below -75 dBm. Compare whole bonded footprints, not only primary numbers. Sum the immutable cell loads assigned to each radio: this scenario's planning ceilings are 60 Mb/s for 20 MHz and 100 Mb/s for 40 MHz. These are authored ceilings, not universal Wi-Fi rates. Use radio fields id, primaryChannel, channelWidthMHz and txPowerDbm, and association fields cell and radio. Redistribute cells or change channel width/power as needed, replay all independent checks after edits, and repair mistakes without Reset.
What the checks verify
Your work is graded on 9 independent properties, not on matching one reference answer.
- Radio and association records use supported bounded fields.
- Every managed radio and cell participates in the floor plan.
- Each radio uses a site-approved channel block and supported width.
- All transmit settings stay inside the measured planning envelope.
- Managed radios sharing spectrum remain below the coupling limit in both directions.
- The plan avoids strong fixed neighboring spectrum at each managed radio.
- Every assigned cell receives sufficient adjusted AP signal.
- Every assigned cell's fixed client-to-AP reading meets the minimum.
- Assigned planning demand fits each radio's width-specific ceiling.
